SERRIED TONE is a sequence of moving images taken in the summer of 2019 by Maya Gulin while working on a ranch with 29 horses. Her videos have been edited and manipulated by Kevin Mnz, in a correspondence between the two artists to create a series of visual tones that lie on the verge of a dream, and inquire on the aesthetics of recollecting a reality. Soundscapes have been mutually invented to inform the world of the video that meets in the middle of both artists’ interpretation of an experience. SERRIED TONE imagines the feeling of a memory in a sensory attempt to translate the essence of subjective experience.
